Where Mindfulness Meets Self-Compassion

About MSC

You Aren't Broken, You Are Human

Life brings pain in many forms: daily stress, self-doubt, caregiving fatigue, life transitions, microaggressions or grief, making you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself and others.
Perhaps you have tried different approaches—exercises, therapy, or other practices—to help your mind slow down and reconnect with a sense of inner balance.
If this resonates with you, Inti Mindfulness offers mental well-being support through Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) training—an evidence-based program that will help you respond to life’s challenges with greater kindness and emotional strength.

Learn to:

  • Regulate your nervous system
  • Build emotional resilience
  • Reduce shame and burnout
  • Connect to yourself
  • Improve your relationships
  • Live mindfully

What MSC is not:

  • It’s not about positive thinking
  • It’s not about being perfect
  • It’s not religious, people of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome
  • No previous experience with meditation is required
  • It is not therapy and does not replace mental health treatments

MSC is a secular, evidence-based program grounded in scientific research (psychological and neuroscience) and contemplative practice, developed by Dr. Kristin Neff, a pioneering researcher on Self-Compassion and Dr. Christopher Germer, a clinical psychologist specialized in mindfulness based psychotherapy.

About Inti Mindfulness

Meet your Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher

I’m Angie Olortegui, a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and a mindfulness educator, based in Stouffville, Ontario, and recognized by the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion.

Before dedicating my work to mindfulness, I built a professional career in business as an economist and market researcher. My path eventually shifted through lived experiences navigating anxiety, caregiving responsibilities, and big life transitions—experiences that deepened my understanding of the challenges many people face in everyday life. In searching for ways to restore balance and resilience, I explored a range of approaches including yoga, Buddhist teachings, psychotherapy, and nutritional support. Through this journey, I discovered that Mindful Self-Compassion offered the essential element that helped me cultivate greater stability, emotional resilience, and a kinder relationship with myself.

After years of personal practice and training, I became increasingly aware of the misinformation and stigma surrounding mindfulness, meditation and self-compassion practices, which prevent people from accessing tools that could meaningfully support their well-being. This realization inspired me to create Inti Mindfulness, a space dedicated to sharing practical, evidence-based mindfulness and self-compassion practices in an accessible and supportive way. Inti, meaning sunin the Inca language, represents warmth, presence, and connection—with ourselves, with others, and with the natural world—values that are at the heart of mindfulness and contemplative practice.

Originally from Peru and living in Canada for over twenty years, I bring a bilingual and bicultural perspective to my work. I’m passionate about creating an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and deeply human learning environment, offering self-compassion courses and workshops in both English and Spanish to individuals and communities.

Our Philosophy

“Inti Mindfulness, based in Canada, is dedicated to providing emotional well-being support through evidence-based mindfulness training and self-compassion courses that enhance resilience, clarity, and well-being.

We offer MSC courses in both English and Spanish, aiming to serve individuals and communities across North America and Latin America.”
